Asher is 3!!! (Part 1)

This past Sunday our sweet Asher turned 3! He awoke and ran down the steps looking for his "prize" he was squealing with delight to see he had two balloons (especially the "woody" toy story balloon , good choice Daddy!) tore open his gift to find a "work bag like Daddy to take to New York" and inside was an iPad mini ( I know a better gift then even Momma and Daddy get each other !) we though the iPad would be perfect for watching 20 mins of cartoons in the morning ( while Momma gets ready for work) and a great learning tool to practice writing his letters and learning Spanish and French! He really does love it and already can call his Nee'Nee with it and do "face time" where they can see each other and catch up! We realized (when Momma had the flu and was stuck in bed) that the Ipad like the TV is good in 30 minute increments... If not you get a Grumpy Zombie toddler that you have to pry the iPad out if their little fingers, lesson learned !

Asher had a few bites if his French brownie with whipped cream for breakfast, then he asked Daddy for "crunchy cereal and milk instead"!

Chopsticks !

Asher asked Santa for Chopsticks for Christmas! He now has a pair of blue bunny training chopsticks. We tested them out last week with great success ( he even picked up rice). Today he chows down on Chinese chicken nuggets (aka: sesame chicken).
We can't wait to test out these new chopsticks on Sushi!

Cutest commuter on NJT

Asher is headed into NYC for a fun Day at the MOMA with Dad! Hopefully he will get to stop by Mom's office for a visit!

New Years 2013!

I asked Asher what he wanted to do for New Years.., he said bake a cake! One of his gifts from Santa was real kitchen tools , measuring spoons cups etc so he was excited to help cook. We made a butter pound cake and Asher picked out blackberries for the topping!

The whole time he was really serious and kept saying "I'm the cooking chef" , he would get really annoyed if anything spilled on his recipe .. Dad got yelled at for getting flour on it!

The next morning I awoke to Daddy and Asher in the kitchen. Asher had his Chef hat on once again and had convinced Dad to help him make waffles ! We had waffles bacon and "Sparkle juice" (sparkling grape juice)

Our Lil Asher is such a Foodie!

Valentines day Tradition

We decided to start a new family tradition...making homemade Valentines.

Asher really couldn't contribute much this year so him sitting still for a picture was his part.

I came up with the theme/idea, and since it was my Birthday the week before Valentines-Ted helped me cut out all the pieces with no complaining. He probably would have helped regardless if it was my Birthday or not, he is just that great of a guy!

All it took was some scrap booking paper, stickers a few different punches and ribbon. I made my own stencils for the house and owl.

They really came out cute and I think our family and friends enjoyed the surprise in the mail.

Asher's sweet Cousin Kallie came for the Holiday weekend, We made her a Valetines shirt as a gift!
